Obong Spring

Every Summer people is looking for a place wherein they can spend the warmest season of the year. Since Cebu is known for natural wonders, there are a lot of tourist who want to experience Cebu's grandeur Life.
If you are looking for budget-friendly place where you can spend the summer solstice, I would recommend to visit Obong Spring. The spring is located in Dalaguete, Cebu. From Cebu City, you still have to pass scenic towns that is worthy of visit too. Obong Spring rests in the southernmost or the last barangay before reaching Alcoy.
It is such a pride knowing that the spot is remained unspoiled, though progress is visible.

Obong Dalaguete is a perfect destination to cool down this summer. Obong Spring is one of Dalaguete’s natural attractions where the sea and spring meets. Aside from the cool water of Obong Spring, one very notable feature is the Old Dalakit tree.It is a fresh water spring which emanates near the beach. Because of steady out pour of water, a pool of freshwater meets the sea especially when the tide is high and the water become brackish. Its waters are naturally cold and refreshing. It is one of the best getaways during summer where the heat of the sun is excruciating.
You cannot resist the cold offering and surely found in no time splashing around or jumping in huge rocks like an amateur divers. Swimming in this spring is like immersing in your bathtub full of ice cubes. So better go there when the climate is hot or else, you will experience chilling and freezing all the time.
There is an environmental fee which is very affordable for only 5 Pesos.

How to get there?

From South bus terminal, ride a Bus (You can choose ordinary or airconditioned) route via Dalaguet- Alcoy. The fare is 125 for air-conditioned bus and for ordinary, it is less than that.
Tell the bus driver to drop you off to Baranggay Obong way to Obong Spring. You can see a signage to lead you to the place.

What are you waiting for? Spend a granduer summer with a very budget-friendly relaxing sceneric spot!

Enjoy! :)
