Naga City Cebu (Again! ❤)

            Naga Cebu is known as ghost city of the south. 
Some people said that there are a lot of mystics in the city specially in mountain areas.

            Despite of that superstitious belief, Naga is one of the shinning cities in Cebu. 
There are a lot improvements when it comes to economic state. 

            Industrialization is also evident. 

Aside from that, there are known tourist attractions and unexplored gems too.

One of those spots is the Boardwalk bay.  It is located near the cityhall and city plaza.

The place is good for relaxation specially during night time. 

The seaside bridge was constructed by local government. 

It is a public place. 

There are many food outlets nearby if you want to take a bite or if you feel hungry.

You can also visit the old Naga Church and thier "Cry of Balintawak" plaza.


How to get there?
From southbus terminal, ride a bus going to toledo and tell the busboy to drop you off in Naga Church. 

The fair is just Php 35.

If you want to save money, you can ride a jeepney from cebu city to pardo and then pardo to Naga. Vice versa.

Mantayupan Falls (again!) ❤

 

One of the most popular waterfall of South Cebu of is Mantayupan Falls.

This comes as no surprise with its grandeur and accessibility. It has become a go-to place of locals and tourists specially during weekends.

The Falls have two layers. Management built hangging bridge for those who wish to see the level 2.

Cottage and tables are also available.

Been here 4th times but still couldn't resist it's relaxing cold water.

If you are adventurous and a nature-lover, lots of exciting outdoor activities in and around this waterfalls.

Many people would get excited to get close to the the falls. Thus, they offered Php150 per hour to ride a simple bamboo raft.
Water falling from the top is strong. Tourists who will try the bamboo raft ride-adventure are advice to wear life jackets.

Truely, the place is perfect for your short break from bustling city life!

Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria Parish Church

One of the Ancestral church in Boljoon Cebu is the known Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria Parish (Our Lady of Patronage of Mary Parish Church).

It is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Our Lady of Patrocinio.

It has been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines and a National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. 

It is also under consideration for the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Philippines as a member of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines.

Ili Rock Viewing Deck

 

Boljoon is one of picturesque town in south Cebu which is rich in culture and nature-wonders.
One of those, is the known Ili Rock Viewing Deck.
It is a natural rock formation that greets visitors as they enter the southern heritage town of Boljoon. The limestone cliff was once used as a natural fortress by natives living in the area.
The viewing decks both offer an excellent view of Boljoon, the sea, and the islands of Bohol and Siquijor.

Currently, there is no entrance fee. There is also a parking space where visitors can leave their vehicles as they go to the viewing decks. 

If you can’t stand too much heat or extended exposure to the sun, it is best to visit there early in the morning or in the afternoon.
The viewing deck doesn’t have tall trees or structures so it is wise to bring an umbrella, a hat, or a piece of cloth.
