Mantayupan Falls









Are you looking for a budget-friendly place where you can relax and unwind? Well, perfect timing!
Mantayupan Falls is best for you. It is located in Barili South Cebu. 
The falls is known for its unpsoiled beauty. It is preserve though fast-face industry is evident nowadays. Falls is surrounded by tall tress where it can surely wipe all your mind-beaing worries. The sound of the the singing waterfalls, the scent of the greenish plantae kindom, and the silence of nature's tranquility will surely gives you a granduer experience.

The falls is still under improvement by the local government. Hanging bridge was just opened last July. 
There's an environmental entrance fee which is Php40 per head. You can rent a tables or you can just leave your things near the falls. Tables fee is ranges from Php200-400. 

How to get there?
From southbus terminal, look for barili route bus. The fare is approximately Php100 or more. You can save more if you ride ordinary bus. Tell the busboy to drop you off in Barili bus stop way to Mantayupan Falls. From there, you ride a motorcycle. Fare is only Php25.

Me and my close friend stayed in Rosita's lodge. The room is very tidy, comfortable and of course affordable!
For airconditioned room, it is just Php 400 per head per night. For ordinary room with fan, it is Php 200.
There are a lot of restaurants and beaches nearby. 

First beach we visited was Panagsama Beach. No entrance fee. It is sort of public one but the place was really white sand too. There are many tourist, locals and foreigns. There are also souvenir shop.

We also visited BasDako White Beach. This was my 3rd time visiting this beach. The wide white sand is the reason why it's fully booked most of the time from weekdays to weekends. You can rent a room.Princes ranges from 1000-1500. No number of heads limit. But, if you are out of budget, you can just bring your own tent.

Nug-as Alcoy's Hidden Gem

If you are looking for an adventure which is budget-friendly, you can try exploring the North and South of Cebu. There are beautiful places where will surely give you a grandeur experience.
One of those recommended place is the municipality of Alcoy. There are many hidden and discovered beauty in that place. 
If you are not familiar yet with the spots, you can try to search google. To those who wish to have a short trip like sight-seeing or trekking, Alcoy is also best for you.

Ordinary bus: Php 115
Air-conditioned: Php 120

Molobolo Spring

Since 3/4 of the world is compose of water, there are really many bodies of water found. One of those is Spring. Spring is a bodies of water where the water from the mountain (spring) and the seawater met. Most of it was developed and became a tourist attraction.

In Cebu, one of the many known Spring is found in Molobolo Tuburan, North of Cebu. It is named after the place, "Molobolo Spring".
The place is unspoiled though vast progress is visible. The water spring is so cool wherein you can surely enjoy. It is perfect for hot weather specially during summer. The place is also best to those who are looking for a budget-friendly gate away. The Spring is covered by tall tress which will shade you from sun's rays. 
Aside from the water in spring, you can also enjoy the seawater since it is connected to the sea. Beside the spring is a beach. The entrance is only 10PHp for adults and 5PHp for kids.You can rent a cottage which is only 300Php. 
When you are there, you have to abide the rules to help preserve the Spring.
Note:
- Eating near the spring is not in the allowed. No liquor as well. You can eat your foods and enjoy a glass of cold drink like beer in the cottage or any spot there for as long as it is not in spring. You can wear any swimming attire you are comfortable with. 

How to get there?

If your reference point is in Cebu Northbus Terminal, you can just simply ride a bus which is Tuburan route. You can choose ordinary bus or airconditioned. For ordinary bus, it is only 101PHp fare. For airconditioned, it is 130PHp (fare is subject to change without prior notice). Tell the driver or the busboy to drop you of on Molobolo which is way to Molobolo Spring. From there, it is just a few minutes walk to the Spring. You may also ride a Tricycle to bring you there. It is just 10PHp fare.

JSJS Mountain Resort














JSJS Mountain Resort, Argao

When we hear mountain resort, the thing that comes to our mind is remote. That’s not the case with JSJS Mountain Resort in Talaga, Argao, which is just a few minutes’ drive from the town’s main road. And it gets even better: this mountain resort offers a respite from the summer heat with its refreshing freshwater pools, cool upland breeze, and breathtaking views of of lush greenery and the blue sea.
The resort was opened last 2012. It is one of many beautiful resorts destination to cool down this summer. 

JSJS Mountain resort offers a spectacular view of the Cebu strait and Bohol Island. It’s very peaceful, quiet and relaxing. It’s the best place to unwind. They do have 4 pools: 2 kids' pool (2ft and 4ft) and 2 adult pools (9ft and 10 ft). The place is also suitable for day and night use. There are life guards that will monitor to all swimmers' safety. Proper swimming attire is also recommended.

Cottages ranges from 300-500
Corkage for food per meal= varies

How to get there?

From Southbus Terminal, you will ride a bus route via Argao-Dalaguete. You may ride ordinary bus or air-conditioned. For air-conditioned, it is only 102 PHp and for ordinary bus, it is less than that. Just tell the busboy (Kondoktor) to drop you in Prenza, Argao way to JSJS mountain resort. Fron the crossing, you will ride a motorcycle going to the resort. The fare is only 50PHp.

Obong Spring





            Every Summer people is looking for a place wherein they can spend the warmest season of the year. Since Cebu is known for natural wonders, there are a lot of tourist who want to experience Cebu's grandeur Life. 
If you are looking for budget-friendly place where you can spend the summer solstice, I would recommend to visit Obong Spring.The spring is located in Dalaguete, Cebu. From Cebu City, you still have to pass scenic towns that is worthy of visit too. Obong Spring rests in the southernmost or the last barangay before reaching Alcoy. 
It is such a pride knowing that the spot is remained unspoiled, though progress is visible. 

         Obong Dalaguete is a perfect destination to cool down this summer. Obong Spring is one of Dalaguete’s natural attractions where the sea and spring meets. Aside from the cool water of Obong Spring, one very notable feature is the Old Dalakit tree.It is a fresh water spring which emanates near the beach. Because of steady out pour of water, a pool of freshwater meets the sea especially when the tide is high and the water become brackish. Its waters are naturally cold and refreshing. It is one of the best getaways during summer where the heat of the sun is excruciating.
You cannot resist the cold offering and surely found in no time splashing around or jumping in huge rocks like an amateur divers. Swimming in this spring is like immersing in your bathtub full of ice cubes. So better go there when the climate is hot or else, you will experience chilling and freezing all the time. 
There is an environmental fee which is very affordable for only 5 Pesos.

How to get there?

From South bus terminal, ride a Bus (You can choose ordinary or airconditioned) route via Dalaguet- Alcoy. The fare is 125 for air-conditioned bus and for ordinary, it is less than that.
Tell the bus driver to drop you off to Baranggay Obong way to Obong Spring. You can see a signage to lead you to the place.

How to get there?

From Cebu Southbus Terminal, you will ride a bus bound to Toledo.You can choose airconditioned-bus, the fare is only 80PHp (amount may change) or the ordinary one which fare is less than that.  Tell the driver or the busboy (konduktor) to drop you in Bunga, Toledo. From there, ride a motorcycle to bring you to Wave Poool, Pinamugahan.
